The Twisting Halls Part 2

“Look out Arouthor!”  Harold said, as he dodged the statue and was getting ready to take it out.
 “Thanks,” I said.
When I dodged the statue, it looked like a knight. I ran up to it and smashed it to bits. Hmm it must be a minion, I thought. Just then all of the statues fell and I said:
“Wow you must have some power about you!”
Harold responded “I sure do.”
We entered the next room and faced four human soldiers. Harold went first, he used a spell on all of them, and three of them fell prone, but the other one started to fight. When the three were dead, the other one turned out to be a doppelganger.
“Look,” she said, “I don’t want to die today; if you let me escape I’ll tell you where Malareth is.”
Harold and I thought, and exchanged glances and said, “We will let you live.”
She smiled and said, “I am ever so grateful and if you ever need anything I can get it for you.”
“You have done a lot already, but thanks.”
“You are so welcome. Malareth is that way.” She pointed to a door at the end of the hall.
“Man, I can smell death in there.”  I said.
“Well let’s go in.” Harold said.
When we entered the room we could see a man next to three skeletons and a hulking zombie (maybe a giant). Without looking at us the man said, “Kill them!!”
First we killed the skeletons, then we got the zombie and then we confronted Malareth.
“You should not have come here; it is not wise to confront me!”  He said.
“It’s not nice to steal from others!”  I said in bravery.
“It was not his to begin with.” Said Malareth.
“Well we are going to take you out anyway!!” I said, and then it was a blur, but I remember swords and ice and Malareth falling dead, and Harold saying “Yes we did it!”
The next day we returned the box to the merchant and he said, “Thank you so much you don’t know what this means to me.”
“You’re welcome.” I said. Harold and I left the next day to find what we had lost.

I have lost my love and Harold, his family. What will we do next?

The Twisting Halls

Today I heard that we can go retrieve the stolen box in the cave called "The Twisting Halls". My brother, Nicodemus fell ill, so only Harold and I are going. The next problem is he won’t get back from his school until 4:00 so I decide to scout it out my self. When I got there, I was greeted by some goblins and a guard drake, before I could escape they shut me in and I had to fight for my life! I attacked the closest monster I could lay m hands on, he was the first goblin cutthroat, I took him down and headed for the next one, but then the goblin hex hurler produced a vexing cloud which gave me a -2 for attack rolls, but he was sorry when I got him too. Next I did a Storm Hammer and aimed it at the guard drake but I missed, but on the good side he did too and I got him back hard. Now all the monsters were gone but I know I could not take The Twisting Halls alone so I went home to wait for Harold. On the way home I saw Harold.
"Hey" I said.
“Hi. Where have you been I have been looking all over for you." He replied.
"Sorry I couldn’t wait so I went in alone." I told him.
"Oh well we can go now if you want?" He said.
"Ok let’s go!"

When we got back the bodies were still there.

"You killed all of them? By your self?" he asked.
"Yup."
"Wow that amazing." Harold said.
"Oh it was nothing." I replied.

We headed to another room with a rat but it was no match for us then we killed a couple more goblins and entered a room that had checkered floor.

"What do you suppose this room is?"  Harold asked
"I don’t know but I ……. "  I started.

Just then a statue from the far right charged at us

The First

Hi I’m Arouthor; I just started to play Dungeons and Dragons’. I’m level 1 Cleric and I love to beat up monsters. I haven’t really been in a big campaign with others but I’m putting one together in my town with my friend the Wizard and my brother the Fighter. So far we are choosing a Dungeon Master which might be my dad the Cleric. I’m part elf and part human. My Mom taught me everything I know about the world and the monsters. I started to adventure when the love of my life was kidnapped by goblins, her name was Melody and ever since then I have been training in my town to go after her, hopefully one day I will find her. Now to tell you about the campaign we are doing, not to long ago (about 1 week ago) the merchant got attacked by a band of goblins, he wasn’t hurt but the goblins stole a wooden box that he says is vary important to him and has promised a 30 GP reward to its save return. My brother and I decided to help out and our friend wanted to help to, so we are waiting to get permission to go and seek it from the high council at the castle. During our wait (about 3-4 day decision) we will do some more training to get ready to confront the dangers in The Dungeon of the  crazy goblins.Portions inspired by the Dungeons and Dragons' starter set
